Life in the military can often seem comparable to life in the nomadic tribes of old – constant movement, unsecured, stressful and threatening.  Unlike those tribes, we do not move as a group, separating regularly from the security of the community we were last with and connecting with a new “tribe” every couple of years.

Our mission at 3&30 is to support those who serve our nation in the profession of arms, as well as those who love them.  We in 3&30 understand the unique demands of a life in the military and empathize with the special stresses that are associated with selfless service.  We are active duty and reserve component military, their local and extended families, retired and discharged service members, or just grateful members of the American community.

We have drawn our name from 2 Samuel 23:8-23, an Old Testament tribute to King David’s warriors, his three great warriors and the thirty others who led his military.  In the same way David recognized and celebrated his 3&30, we celebrate and stand ready to support our nation’s warriors.

3&30 is here to help you, and your family, build relationships and connect into your new community whether that is a new installation or perhaps a new life in the military.

  • Before you arrive we would like to welcome you and provide you new information about your new community and establish contact to answer your questions.
  • When you leave our area we would like to say good-bye and connect you to someone already living where you are headed.
  • Are you facing an extended deployment – as the one boarding the plane or, just as painful, the ones staying behind?  Let us join in your support network.
  • Maybe its time to come home from deployment and you need resources to help that transition go smoothly – we stand by to work with you and your family.
  • Challenged by serving, leading or supporting in these challenging times? We will stand along side of you, offering experience and prayer.
  • Is it time to leave your valuable service to the country? Maybe we can be helpful in your networking effort.

We stand ready to work hand-in-hand with your new installation, your unit and its leaders and readiness groups to better receive you and support you while you serve in our community.  3&30 will often point you to a military resource if it will best serve your needs but work hard to develop a holistic list of options across the local community.

3&30 has organized this website to address three main efforts:

Connecting = building relationships

  • Introduction to your current or next community, local installations, local churches and to 3&30
  • Plugging in quickly (since time can be limited) to church ministries, activities and studies to answer your questions about faith or strengthen your relationship with Christ

Supporting = helping you address the stresses of military life

  • Deployment/Reintegration
  • Moving
  • Transition
  • Family Life
  • Prayer

Equipping = serving and leading as Christians

  • Classes at your church
  • One-on-one mentoring (Military & Spouse)
  • Educational resources
  • Evangelism resources

Why does 3&30 exist? It is our way to serve a community who commits so much of themselves to a greater good.  As Christians we understand sacrifice in a different context and appreciate your willingness to serve in the most challenging of times.

Not a Christian but could use some support? Your faith isn’t a requirement; we are a group who has joined together looking for a way to ease the burden of your sacrifice through relationship, information and prayer regardless.

If any of that sounds like something that you could use in your kit bag please contact us at contact@3and30military.org.
